Texas Classic Cars of Dallas presents this custom built '31 Chevrolet 3-Window Coupe. This car is running & driving and in need of some finishing work, primarily door glass & tracks installed. We don't have them. A lot of time and money has been spent on this one and the owner is ready to sell as it is today. It will be a good project for someone to finish up. The exterior showcases an all-steel body with fiberglass fenders and steel running boards. The hood assembly is also steel.
Power is courtesy of a mild street friendly 350 cubic inch V8 paired with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine features updated induction courtesy of an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake & Holley 4bbl. carburetor. Exhaust gases are expelled in a hurry through block-hugger headers and a custom dual exhaust system, turn-downs just before the rear end. It sounds excellent, be sure to play our video. Open the doors to a true street rod / hot rod. The interior is finished in red cloth with some vinyl in the seating. The headliner and door panels match. The dash features a custom cluster with Autometer gauges. The odometer is not hooked up. There is a working horn button fitted under the dash. The wiring has been updated with this modern fuse box. The trunk has been upholstered to match the interior and fitted with a rear-mounted battery & battery box. The doors do not have the glass in them and are in need of finishing. This car is kept indoors and is currently on display in Texas Classic Cars of Dallas' showroom.
The paint itself shows well and a few chips, a notable one on the driver's side front fender. The undercarriage is in good condition, showcasing solid flooring, framework and the stout 9-inch Ford rear end and TH350 automatic transmission. Stoppies duties are courtesy of drum brakes all around. The wheels of choice are custom 15-inch Rally wheels with tri-spinners. These rims are fitted with Hankook radial tires all around (205/70R15s)
